Central idea from the first day of IDCEE: the pitch matters. It is a pity to see how great ideas and hard work of the teams lose the chance to get investment because of the weak presentation.
Second idea – both content and oratory skills matter equally.
Ten minutes of presentation and afterwards there were these questions from investors “so who are your customers and what is your business model?” The whole idea of the pitch is to answer these and very few other essential questions. But these two are fundamental. Unfortunately, some speakers didn’t address them.
Speaking of the presentation skills, guess CEOs need to get used to scene. Maybe some actor’s courses? Steve Ballmer doesn’t have this problem Does he?
