Here is the thing. You can have a failure but make sure this is your failure. If you hold responsibility for something make sure you have the authority to influence this “something.” Otherwise, you will be the one to blame for the stuff you didn’t do or couldn’t control. It is about making your point and being able to deny the participation in something you wouldn’t want to be associated with or something you couldn’t effectively control.
Constant change is the key component of success, however, isn’t it appealing to realize (after the detailed audit) that there is no need to change any policies or processes in this or that particular instance?
